Aaaahh, it’s been exactly a week since I got back from the beautiful paradise that is Cape Town in South Africa.
I never thought any other place could feel like home as much as London does, but Cape Town most definitely puts up a good fight and might even win the odd battle if not the war…
With 48% mixed race population (my people – the people of the mix, whoop!), the combination of the languages Afrikaans and English (just SO close to how my own brain works switching between Dutch and English), Bougainvillea and Hibiscus blossoming on every street corner (like I remember from my childhood in India), Bollywood tunes played in stores (another throwback to my childhood), markets to rival Spitalfields (one of my favourite spots in London) …throw in some fabulous weather, some absolutely gorgeous beaches/ nature and friendly people and it’s no surprise I love it so much?!
This picture was taken on Day #2 on the beach Clifton 4 at a concert of Dr. Victor & The Rasta Rebels. Awesome much?
Can I please go back?? Teleport me please? Now…?
