The H&M designer collaborations are a guaranteed bit of entertainment every year. They are very hit and miss though.
There have been amazing designer x H&M collabs like the Margiela H&M collab (the boots I got from that collab were my favourite boots for aaages – until they ripped after a lot of wear – RIP).
There have also been absolutely God-awful disastrous H&M collabs – let’s see, hmmm, the Jimmy Choo one for example? The Jimmy Choo x H&M collab somehow managed to cheapen H&M even more – how does the luxury brand end up cheapening the cheap high street brand?! WTAF happened there and who thought it was good enough to be signed off and go into production.
The next big H&M collaboration has been announced for 2015: Olivier Rousteing announced the Balmain for H&M Collection at the Billboard Music Awards. For the big announcement, Rousteing had models Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn debut the first looks from the upcoming collection on the red carpet. This collaboration follows Alexander Wang for H&M, which debuted last fall.
As always, the collab goes live and will be available on the 5th of November – probably online as well but their site crashes EVERY SINGLE YEAR so I have no hopes of getting anything online. Good Luck.
